Lytra Ministries is a Charitable Organisation working with children
Background (History of Lytra Ministries)
Approximately four million (57%) children in Uganda below five years live in poverty, which is much higher in rural areas, according to the report of UNICEF IN 2014. The Uganda National Housing Survey 2012/13 indicates that about 2.24 million children in Uganda had lost one or both parents, of whom 374,000 were double orphans. Up to 45 percent of orphans and vulnerable Children were under the care of older persons, while about 28,800 households were headed by a child. Consequently, on 18/07/2015, our minds were convicted under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and our attention drawn to the plight of children (0-17 years of age), who are helpless and hopeless, (the poor, orphans and disadvantaged.) and practically under captivity. Just as Christ died for us and paid our RANSOM (bought us with His precious blood), we also sacrifice our resources (time, money, energy, etc.) to extend that love through actions, thus the name LYTRA MINISTRIES.
